Ecclesiastes 5
God created us for victory, He wants us to live as victors over everything. In the current world, people are becoming more and more like slaves of money, doing everything they can to earn money. But God doesn't want that! He wants us to live our lives for Him, and that is what I WANT to do.
This chapter also reminded me that I cannot make empty promises to God. Just like how we abhor people making empty promises to us, God natty dislikes it too. What we feel God feels too. Why do we not want people to make empty promises yet we do it to God? Isn't that self-contradictory? God deserves the best from us, the things we say from the bottom of our hearts when we are thinking straight, not rash promises.
Dear God, I really cannot comprehend what this world has become especially after the movie I watched last night. It is so... Horrible to live in anymore. People's thinkings nowadays are so warped that they can't even think straight. Instead they indulge in their own evil desires. And I feel like I'm becoming more like that. Please give me the strength to overcome it, I don't want to do this alone. God, I want You in the centre of my life, not anywhere else. Show me which area have I not surrendered to You, and help me to do it. I really really need You and I cannot do it without You.
