96. QT (15/10/12)

Obviously, I’m not trying to win the approval of people, but of God. If pleasing people were my goal, I would not be Christ’s servant. (Galatians 1:10 NLT)

Living for God's glory should be our main purpose, and we need to constantly check whether we have steered away from this purpose. If you find that you are starting to subject yourself to pleasing the people around you, then you may have steered away from the road God wants you to take.

Our main purpose in life is to worship God and God alone. We live to bring praise to Him and we strive to please Him in becoming more like Jesus. But when we lose sight of our purpose, it is hard for us to worship God anymore. Hence, we really need to guard our hearts lest we worship something else other that God alone. If there is something that causes you to bow down and worship it rather than God, ask God for the strength to overcome it and He will give it to you.
